Why It Matters

Why It Matters

I was fortunate enough to spend part of my winter break down on the coast of Belize in San Pedro to study the different types of marine life, as well as coral, in part of the fall semesters Coral Biology travel course. While down in Belize, I was able to see a vast array of marine life, but one species stuck out over all, the Spotted Eagle Ray. It was amazing being able to swim within arms reach of one. The pictures depicted below are as follows: Left – Myself, Hayden, & Tyler; Center – San Pedro, Belize; Right – Myself under water. Underneath the photos are videos that Tyler Druck captured using his underwater camera showing off some of the Spotted Eagle Rays that we saw during our trip. Enjoy!
